Domain Name/Website
Hosting Questions
Email Questions
Q: How
much does DynaClaim cost?
A: The
cost of a DynaClaim Web site is based on two primary
factors:
- Complexity of the design itself
a. Number/design of unique page templates
b. Site navigation
c. Number/type of graphics
- Feature set and site functionality
a. Generic pages
b. Custom site features
c. Custom programming
Our template-based sites start
at $500 and include 6 pages. We offer ala Carte
pricing for all features listed in the Features/Pricing
section of this site. Rates for site hosting and professional
design, including banner design and Flash animation, are
covered in this same section.
Q: Does
E-Claim offer any less expensive options?
A: If
your company does not have the budget for even a basic
DynaClaim Web site, we can provide you with an Internet
presence for as little as $150/year. For $200/year we
will provide you with a unique Internet address (www.Claims-Portal.com/yourcompanyname)
We can also setup a forwarding account for
companies that have (or want) a unique domain name,
but have not yet created a Web site. Please contact
us us for details about these services.
Q: What
are the pros and cons of choosing a template
design, rather than a custom design?
A: Our
Web site templates are custom designs, which are unique
creations of our developers. Companies that do not need
a complex design, or who may not want to create their
own design, generally select templates. Templates are
also usually less expensive, because we offer them to
other clients (some clients may purchase a template
as their own custom design, in which case we remove
that template from the gallery, and it is no longer
available to other clients).
Templates can be customized with different
graphics, colors, photos, features, etc., so that each
and every site has its own style. However, if you want
to create a completely custom site, with a look that
is uniquely yours, we will create a custom design to
your exact specifications, rather than starting with
a template. Custom sites generally take a little longer
to complete, depending upon the complexity. Feel free
to browse our template
gallery.
Q: How
do DynaClaim Web sites share information on Claims-Portal?
A: DynaClaim
Web sites share certain information with the database
of our industry portal www.Claims-Portal.com.
As a DynaClaim site owner, when you add content to certain
sections/features of your Web site, you will have the
option of posting that information to Claims-Portal
simultaneously. If this option is selected, that information
will appear in the appropriate section of Claims-Portal,
where it is viewed by our thousands of monthly visitors.
This is a tremendous benefit in terms of gaining exposure
for your company.
For example, when you post a job to
the employment section of your DynaClaim web site, you
can elect to also post that same job to the employment
section of Claims-Portal. Now, rather than just receiving
inquiries from only those persons visiting you company
Web site, your job listing can now be viewed by everyone
looking for jobs on Claims-Portal.
Q: Do
I need HTML or programming skills to add/edit content
to my site?
A: No.
Anyone can add/edit DynaClaim site content just by typing
information into an online form. However, all site content
can be customized by using HTML when entering the content.
Q: How
long does it take to get a DynaClaim site launched?
A: Once
you have completed our development questionnaire, and
we have agreed on the final scope of the project, a
site can be completed in 2-3 weeks, depending upon the
complexity of the design. Template-based sites generally
take less time, while custom designs with custom features
may take longer. In order to expedite the process, we
ask clients to send us all available documentation before
we begin. In large part, the time involved depends upon
each clients response time in replying to requests
for information and for approval of design options,
etc.
Q: What
type of support is available?
A: We
realize that the Internet can be a confusing place,
and we strive to make the entire process of setting
up your web site as smooth as enjoyable as possible.
As such, we work closely with each client and provide
complete and ongoing support. Please see our
Support page for options.
Q: What
if I want to keep my current Web site, but just make
some changes to it?
A: We
will review such requests on a case-by-case basis. In
most cases you will save time and money by starting
with a new design, rather than trying to make the best
of what you have; And, starting with a new design is
the best way to assure that you end up with exactly
what you wanted in the first place.
Q: How
do I get started?
A: To
get started, please complete the
Request A Quote form on this site. A representative
will contact you by telephone to begin the process.
Q: Do
I need my own domain name in order to use DynaClaim?
A: No.
If you do not have a domain name registered, your DynaClaim
web site will be setup as a slash account.
The address for your Web site will be in this format:
http://www.Claims-Portal.com/yourcompanyname. Everything
else about the site will be exactly the same, and your
site can be moved to a unique domain name at any time.
Please note that if your site is setup as a slash account,
you will not have e-mail services for your Web site. However,
we can setup accounts for you under other available domains.
Q: Can
I host my current Web site with E-Claim/DynaClaim?
A: No,
Web site hosting services are only available for DynaClaim
sites.
Q: Can
DynaClaim Web sites be hosted elsewhere?
A: No,
while many of the features of a DynaClaim Web site are
common to other sites and hosting services, other features
are not. These proprietary features are database-driven,
and the needed data resides on our servers only. As
such, these features will not work unless the DynaClaim
site is hosted on our servers.
Q: Is
my Web site going to be offline at any time during the
design/launch process?
A: If
you have an existing domain name, when its time
to launch your DynaClaim site, you will need to request
a DNS change for your domain. This is how the hosting
of that domain is changed over to our servers. Once
the DNS change request is processed, your web site will
be offline, while the change propagates through the
Internet. This process generally takes 24 to 72 hours;
however, it could take less time, and in rare cases,
it could take longer. Unfortunately, there is no way
around this. For this reason, we generally plan all
site launches so they take place on Fridays. This way,
much of your downtime occurs over the weekend, when
your site traffic is typically lower.
Q: Is
e-mail offered as a separate service?
A: No,
our e-mail services are only available to DynaClaim clients.
Q: As
a DynaClaim client, can I continue using my current
e-mail hosting service?
A: Yes,
using our email is optional, so it is not required that
you use our services. While we must host your domain
on our servers, we can point your mail back to your
current mail host, or any other mail host of your choosing.
Q: Is
my e-mail going to be unavailable at any time during
the design/launch process?
A: If
you currently use e-mail that is setup under your own
domain, and you wish to begin using our e-mail hosting
services, your mail will be out of service while the
domain is moved to our server. This occurs when the
site is ready to be launched and generally takes 24
to 72 hours; however, it could take less time, and in
rare cases, it could take longer. Unfortunately, there
is no way around this. For this reason, we generally
plan all site launches so they take place on Fridays.
This way, much of your downtime occurs over the weekend,
when your Web site traffic and e-mail volume is typically
lower.
If you wish to continue using your
current e-mail host, we will redirect your mail settings
on our server, so that service is continued, and you
will not experience an interruption.
